Ineffective
Grade 0: No cytological or cytological therapeutic effect

Slightly effective
Grade 1a: Viable cancer cells ≥2/3
Grade 1b: Viable cancer cells <2/3, ≥1/3

Moderately effective
Grade 2: Viable cancer cells <1/3

Markedly effective
Grade 3: No viable cancer cells evident
